And... happy 100th deviation! The number's not important, but after three years and still not even at 100, that just made me feel unproductive.
I'm pleased with how well my night skies are looking, but I just hope that I don't end up doing a night sky in every deviation in the future.
And speaking about "goodnight", I should go to bed now. It's 4 AM.
Original line art: I changed a lot of things in the line art, in case you're wondering. This was supposed to be called "the Dream Guardian" or something and Meta Knight was going to be kind of like a spirit.
Upon first seeing the original line-art of this image I was incredably impressed by the close attention to detail that was included into each indervidual character, prop and other areas of the image. The conversion between the line-art and coloured image has obviously involved a lot of hard work and dedication. Although I am slightly disapointed that you did not include Kirby's blushes or Meta Knight's wings, it is not something that can be considered a let down to the art. As someone who digitally edits my own art I understand that it is not easy to convert every inch of detail from the original line-art to the coloured image. The charcters within the image contain so much detail with both the shadowed effects and body lay-out that I can almost read their emotions and thoughts as easily as I can read a book. The care that has been portrayed within Meta Knight flows so deep that it seems to create the warm aura-like purple shade to the sky above. A person may say his feet are too small, but I feel that if you drew them any bigger then it would ruin a lot of the emotion that appears to shine through his mask. In responce to Kirby, I can see so easily that he is not just 'asleep', but lost within a deep slumber whislt swimming in a fountain of comforting dreams (no pun intended). You've drawn him to look very cute without stealing away the attention from the other aspects of the image. The Gordos posses an air that strongly remind me of the Soot Gremlins in the anime 'My Neighbour Totoro'. Whether this effect was intentional or not it works beautifully with the rest of the image. As I previously said, the purple in the sky seems to portray Meta Knight's warm, caring affection for Kirby. The blend between the blue and purple of the sky looks incredably natural. Such a contrast of colours was a huge risk as it may have turned out looking very childish, however you have made the blend of colours work beautifully. Again, the moon and stars look natural, and do not steal more attention then required. You have rounded off the image brilliantly by creating a greyscaled border so that everything coloured stands out. You have created a beautiful piece of fan-art here and I am very impressed with your skills at shading, blending and portraying character's thoughts, auras and emotions. I look forward to viewing more of your artwork.
Oh my god, this is amazing! Not to mention super cute I would write a critique, maybe later? I'm not going to now because its 12:48am here and I should be heading off to sleep now All in all, fantastic job
Welcome! (: Yeah I will critique when i get the chance, I awfully busy now writing story and all But I will see what I can do
I seem to notice most people do amazing art when they are tired, that annoys me a little bit cuz you have to stay up late in order to do amazing art XD
